Battles

Battles are an important part of the Monster Paradise universe. They are used to defend against threats , make areas safe, and to collect special Tablets that can summon very powerful monsters. To be effective at battling, you will need to set up your parties for each type.
Boss Battles
Boss Battles occur when you complete the final quest in an area. Unless you are in a guild, the only monster you will be able to use is your companion. By joining a guild, you can assign other guild members' companions to assist you as long as you have at least one member of the other two elements.
Other Battles
All other battles will use your Battle Party. Unlike your Boss Party, you have complete control over the members of your Battle Party. You may create and save up to three separate attack parties and one defensive party.
Battle Party
Creating a Battle Party requires ATK MP. Every monster you add to the party has an MP cost. The total MP cost of the monsters added cannot exceed your maximum ATK MP. Once created you can choose which party to use when battling Dark Monsters or trying to steal Tablet Fragments.
Tablet Battles

Tablets are special items that allow you to summon very powerful monsters. To complete a tablet you must first collect all six pieces. You can get these pieces through Quests and Tablet Battles. Tablet Battles allow you to challenge other players for their Tablet Fragments. In the same manner, players can challenge you for your Tablets. You can defend your tablets by building a strong Defensive Party. You build the party the same way you would any other except you are limited by your maximum DEF MP. The higher your defense, the better chance you have of resisting an attack and keeping your Tablet Fragment.
ATK MP and DEF MP
You will use ATK MP when you battle against Dark Monsters or other players for their Tablets. If your remaining ATK MP is too low, you will not be able to add any monsters to your party. ATK MP regenerates over time, or you can use a Battle Brew to fill back up immediately.
Your DEF MP is a measure of how strong a defensive party you can build to protect your tablets. Unlike ATK MP, this does not decrease when you are attacked.
